I like this image so much, I had to make another card with it ! But I have chosen different colours this time... Here it is...

My papers are from the "Alla Prima" paper pad from Prima, the stamped image is from Penny Black, the ticket sentiment from Whimsy Stamps. The two hearts were punched out with a Martha Stewart punch, the corners were cut out with a Cuttlebug die and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

A Little Note Pouch...

I saw the tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers and decided to have a go... It's easy to put together... Here it is...

I made it using a paper from the "Spring Feast" paper pad from First Edition Papers, the stamped image - on the front and on the little note cards - are from Penny Black, the ticket is from Tim Holtz, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon comes from The Range.

A Little Treat Box

As promised yesterday, here is the little Treat Box I have made to match the Valentine card. I found the instructions in an old Magnolia magazine. I have made it several times and it's really easy and fun to put together and to decorate !

The box itself was made out of a 12 x 12 Kraft cardstock from Papermania, I then covered it with my new papers from prima ("Alla Prima" Collection). The stamped image is from Penny Black and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I find it very difficult to enter the "Clean and Simple" challenges and I had to sit on my hands to stop me from adding flowers, ribbon, charm... I have chosen to put a vintage photo on my card - I used to make a lot of vintage cards before I started my blog - this one comes from Artchixstudio.

The papers - actually they are more like cardstock - are from My Mind's Eye and the ticket is from Tim Holtz.

A New Use for an Old Frame !

I love making cards but I enjoy making different things in between ! This time I had decided to give a new lease of life to an old frame I found in the attic ! I got rid of the glass, then covered the back board with papers from My Mind's Eye ("Lost and Found" Collection), added some faux stitching ("Sew Easy" rub-ons) and had fun finding embellishments to put on it ! I had to put some mice somewhere, so here they are, stamped with a Penny Black stamp and coloured with Prismacolor pencils (the colours are a lot darker in real life...). The little tickets are printable downloads from Janet and the other embellies are from my stash ! Here is the "new" frame...

I think I am getting a bit obsessed with the Penny Black Mice ! I like them sooooo much that I had to make some cards with them on, and as the mice are small I have made mini cards ! Here they are...

I just love kraft card and I have found some DP which are perfect on kraft cardstock : the Kraft Funday Collection from My Mind's Eye, they look fab ! I have used - again - my favorite corner die from Cuttlebug, the border was cut out with a Magnolia die and I had to finish up with some paper roses from Wild Orchid Crafts !

Last Minute Christmas Makes...

It's the theme of the challenge at Charisma Cardz and it's just perfect for the last Christmas projects I finished yesterday... I thought I was done and dusted with Christmas stuff this year and then I remembered that I wanted to make two little "wallets" to put a cheque in... It's not always easy to find the right presents for those "who have everything" and a cheque is always well received ! So here is what I have made...

They are quite small and could hold a voucher gift card as well... I am sorry but I can't remember where I got the template from... I have covered them with the "Noel" papers from Dovecraft, I have stamped - again, yes I know, but I just adore this mouse ! - a Penny Black image, the two tiny tickets were printed from the CD rom Designer Extreme - Vol 1 from Bearly Mine Designs and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I have tied up a piece of string around the wallet to keep the flap down...

My little wallets will also enter the challenge "Christmas" with Crafting for all Seasons. Happy Crafting !

I have been using my old envelopes again ! I had so much fun making my first little recipe book that I decided to make another one... Here it is...

A Little Can full of Choccies !

Although I love making boxes I had decided this time to make something different for some of the choccies I want to give to Max...
I have opened a can of green beans - but not from the top, from the bottom - cleaned it and decorated it. Then after putting the chocolates in it - I didn't steal any, but gosh it was hard... I cut a circle out of cardstock - the same size as the base of the tin - and stuck it on the bottom with some Pinflair glue gel. Here it is...

Little Christmas Treat Boxes

I always make Treat Boxes to put on the table on Christmas day, and I try to make something different every year... This time I have used the free template from My Time Made Easy. Here are a few of the boxes I have made (There are 10 altogether !)

I have covered them with papers from the "Scandinavian Christmas" paper pad from Marianne Design, I have coloured some small H and S stamped images and added some paper roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. The handles were made with a Fancy Tag die. These boxes are really easy to make, the tricky bit was to put the chocolates into the boxes without eating any !!!

A Way to use your old Envelopes !

I always buy my blank cards pre-scored with matching envelopes but most of the time I send my handmade cards in a jiffy bag and end up with a lot of envelopes in my drawer ! Well here is something I have made using some of them...

You can use as many envelopes as you want... For the front I have used my papers from the "Londonerry" paper pad from Prima. The little cutie is called Amelia and she is from the set of stamps "Just for You" from The Greeting Farm. I bought it from Dies to Die For. The border was made with a Magnolia die, the ticket is from Tim Holtz and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

A Birthday Card for Francois !

The little white dots are rub-ons ( I have been rubbing a lot of this card !) and the little cookie button has been in my stash for a long long time. It's so cute that I just could not stick it on a card, but as it is for Francois...

The way I see it is that they have started a journey together, that's the reason why I have chosen the Amelia and Oliver "A Journey" stamp set from The Greeting Farm. (I sometimes wish I spent less time surfing the net so I would not find new places where to spend my money !!! I have absolutely fallen in love with those two cuties... I found them at Dies to Die For. The delivery is super fast - I received my stamps the day after I ordered them and the lady had even included some die cuts... How sweet !) Anyway, here is my card...

Aren't they cute ? I have used the free Nitwit papers I got with a magazine, the corners were made with a Cuttlebug die, the hinges and the oval frames with Spellbinders dies, the flourish with a Marianne Design die and the border with a Magnolia die. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the ribbon was bought at a bric-a-brac fair (thank you Mandy, I will need some more !!!). The ticket is from a Whimsy Stamps set but the sentiment inside "Let's Travel Together" is from the Oliver and Amelia set.

I've made more tags... I know, I know... They are not all for my presents, I will give some to my friends too ! This time I have used the Mitten Card Template from Whimsie Doodles to make them. I have resized the template obviously... Here they are...

It's getting so cold out there that it's really the right time for a nice cup of tea ! Or a coffee if you prefer ! Here is the card I have made for the challenge "Tea Time" with Getting Cricky...

The light is just not good right now and although I have really tried to do my best the photo looks a bit pale... My papers are from the "Lost and Found - Madison Avenue" paper pad from My Mind's Eye, the sentiment was stamped (Whimsy Stamps Set - It says : "Friends like you make life beautiful"), the cutie is a digi from The Greeting Farm, the corners were made with a Cuttlebug Die and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

You know how much I LOVE making boxes... I have found a place ("My Time Made Easy Templates") where you can buy really amazing templates, and they are easy to put together... Here is what I have made with one of them...

You only need four sheets of A4 cardstock to make the box and it's a lot easier than you think ! I have covered the lid with a piece of paper from the "Festive Treats" paper pad from First Edition Paper. The flourish was made with a Marianne Design die, I have coloured a mini H and S stamped image and added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, et voila !

I Remember...

I could not resist the new challenge "I remember" with Totally Gorjuss as I have been doing a lot of remembering since the departure of my dear sister Annie ... Childhood memories mainly, as my sister was like a second Mum to me... I have chosen an image from A Day for Daisies, it's a little girl playing with her dolls and I used to play a lot with mine, they were all presents from my sister... Here is my card...

My papers are from the "Lost and Found - Madison Avenue" paper pad from My Mind's Eye. I think they are gorgeous ! The corners were cut out with a Cuttlebug die, the tag was made with a Marianne Design's die as well as the flourish. I did a bit of paper piecing for the dress of the little girl. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

It's the theme of the new challenge at Cupcake Craft and I have decided to give it a go ! The only papers I could find with a "Jeans" colour are from a Sizzix pad ("little Sizzles - Classic) I found at a Bric a Brac fair (thank you Mandy !). Here is my little card (it's 4 inches x 4 inches, don't know why I made it so small...)

This cutie is called Emaline and I've found her at All That Scraps. I think she is sweet... The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, I made the buttons with a MS punch and the little ticket was printed from a Bearly Mine Designs CD rom.

Good afternoon my dear friends ! Today I want to share with you two little treat baskets I have made for Christmas. I got the idea in a Magnolia magazine. I had so much joy making them... Here they are... (Sorry, the light wasn't quite right in the hall yesterday... Looks a bit yellow...)

The papers are from the "Scandinavian Christmas" paper pad from Marianne Design. The hearts and the oval frames were made with my Spellbinders dies. The flourishes were cut out with my new die from Marianne Design. I coloured two mini H and S stamped images and added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

A Mini Mazebook...

Before I started my blog I used to make a lot of memorie albums and mini books so I could not resist the challenge with Fairy-Tale Challenge Blog as they ask you to make a mini mazebook. They even give you a link to a tutorial. I can't remember the last time I made one, they are easy to make and such fun to decorate...

I collect quotes so I have decided that my little mazebook will be full of "Words of Wisdom" ! Here it it...

I have made it using kraft card from Papermania. My papers are from the "Spring Feast" from First Edition Papers. I made the covers with some square dies and the little tags were made using one of Marianne Designs Tags dies. I have coloured some mini H and S stamped images and added some tickets from Tim Holtz. On the front cover I have stuck a 3D sticker from K and Co and added a border made with a Doohicket die (Tilda Lace). The paper roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves were punched out with a MS punch. Et voila !

My little book will also enter the challenges : "Anything Goes" with PaperTake Weekly, "Dies and Punches" with Fab'n Funky, "Anything Goes" with One Stop Craft and "Die Cuts and/or Punches with Anything Challenge. Happy Crafting !

A Birthday Card for Anne

I know that her birthday is not there yet but I just felt like making a card for my DD. Anne loves bags - she left England last week with two bags : one I gave her, one she bought from Debenhams ! - so I knew exactly what to make for her... Here it is...

I have used my new gorgeous papers from My Mind's Eye ("Lost and Found - Madison Avenue"). The bunting and the stamp shape were cut out with dies from Whimsy Stamps. I bought them from Quixotic Paperie as well as the Stamp sentiment. The letters were cut out with the Tim Holtz Vintage Alphabet die. The big flowers were made with my new X Cut dies.

The little bag had been in my stash for ever, can't remember where I got it from and the paper roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The two little hearts were bought on Ebay.

It's the theme of the challenge at Hanna and Friends and it's just perfect for the two little boxes I made for Anne and Francois... They have just left after spending a few days with us and I feel so so down now... I think I will need something to cheer me up - like buying some lovely DP or have a few chocolates... Anyway, here are my boxes, they were full of Aeros when I gave them to my two Adorables...

I haven't made a card for a while now but I have been busy making different things... One of them is this little Recipe Book... I just love making notebooks, thanks to my Bind-it-All it's such a pleasure ! Here is what I have made...

My papers are from the "Scandinavian Christmas" paper pad from Marianne Design, the flowers were made with a Magnolia Die, I have made "hinges" again with one of my "Fancy Labels" from Spellbinders, the leaves were punched out (Martha Stewart punch), the flourish was made with a Sizzix die and the tickets were printed from a Digital Collage from Janet. I have added a little charm hanging on a little safety pin attached to a bit of lace. Tilda, the flowers and the leaves were coloured with my beloved Promarkers (main colours : Burgundy and Cornflower)

A Birthday Card for Max ! (and a notebook !)

It's Max's birthday next month. You know that I don't really like making cards for men and once again I was struggling to find what to put on my card... Then I remembered a digi I've had for a long time (it's a freebie you can find here) and I thought that it would be just perfect for Max... Years ago he had a Colley he loved dearly, he was still talking about her last week as we were in Llandudno watching a couple walking their two Colleys, so I think he will like the card I made for him. I made him a little notebook too as he uses one when he is doing his Sudoku every morning in The Times.

The only problem was that I am not really good at colouring and I have had a few hot flushes colouring the dog, well the dogS actually as I wanted to put one on the notebook too... Anyway here is what I have made...

The papers are from the "Eline's Old Fashioned Nursery" paper pack from Marianne Design, I love them, they are so pretty... I didn't want to add any flowers so I have just punched out some buttons (Martha Stewart). The sentiment was a freebie from Jami. I have used the "Sew Easy" rub-ons for the stitching.

My binding machine is something I used a lot when I was making memory albums - before I started my blog - I have the feeling that I will be starting one pretty soon, this machine is such a joy to work with ! Kleenex anyone ?

Right now I am a little bit fed up with cards so I am making different things... Like these Mini Kleenex Package Holders... I can't remember where I found the instructions - I had written them down on a notebook - so if you would like to make some - it's so easy and quick - here is what you have to do :

You need a piece of 4 1/2" x 11 " cardstock. Score at 3/4", 3", 3 3/4" and 6". Cut the corners of the 3/4" flap at an angle. Apply double sticky tape to the 3/4" flap. Apply designer paper on the 2 1/4", on the second 3/4" flap and on the 6" on the same side as the adhesive.
Cut an opening at the center of the 2 1/4" pannel. Fold the card stock at the scored lines and adhere the 3/4" flap to the back flap. Et voila... I hope it is clear enough, if not don't hesitate to contact me...

So this is what they look like after they have been decorated...

I made two : one for Anne and one for Francois ! The papers are from Papermania, the little fence is a die cut I bought on ebay and the little flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The little charm under the yellow bow says "Made with Love" !

Not a Christmas card but a Christmas Treat Box !

I am still in a Christmassy mood but instead of a card this time I have decided to make a little treat box. I found the idea here . It's so easy and fun to make that I have already made two and started another one ! Here it is...

I made the box with the "Noel" paper pad from Papermania, added some flourishes - cut out with a Sizzix die - some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and made the "handle" with one of the Fancy Label dies from Spellbinder.

Another Criss Cross Card...

I had so much fun making a criss cross card a few weeks ago that I decided to make another one... Here it is...

I always struggle taking photos and I can assure you that the colours are a lot nicer in real life... The papers are from the "Madeline" paper pad from Prima - I just love those papers -, the flowers are die cuts I have coloured with my Promarkers and the sentiment was a freebie from Raindrop Echo Designs.

Christmas in July ! Again...

I keep trying to make a Christmas card every week and I am working on some Christmas projects as well - you will see them later in the year... And as the weather here is more like the weather you expect in october I don't need a lot of imagination to think that Christmas is coming soon ! Here is the last one I have made...

I have coloured another stamped image I found a few weeks ago in my stash and that I have had for months... The papers are from the "Noel" paper pad from Dovecraft, the sentiment was stamped and stuck on a Fancy Label die cut. I have made the "hinges" with another Fancy Label die and added some punched buttons (Martha Stewart) and a flourish (Sizzix). The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I was singing the Beatles' song while I was making this tag (yes, I know, another one... Should I consult ?) for the challenge "Create a Tag" with A Spoon Full of Sugar... I didn't put a lot of embellies as I didn't want to cover the gorgeous "Madeline" papers from Prima... Here is my tag...

I made the top of the tag with one of the Fancy Labels dies from Spellbinders and just added some flat back pearls for the "bubbles" and a golden metal corner I coloured with my Promarkers. I've had my eyes on the Magnolia Flower dies for a long time now but as I was not sure I was going to like them on my cards I bought some die cuts on ebay and guess what... I will buy the dies ASAP... I love the "lacy" look of the flowers...

Childhood Memories : My Teddy and me !

I love remembering things from my childhood and as I am getting older I do it even more often ! That's the reason why I could not resist the challenge "Childhood Memories" with Southern Girls. I used to love playing with my teddies and my dolls - most of them were presents from my sister who is older than me... Here is the card I have made, remembering those precious and special moments...

Isn't she cute ? I love the Teddy's face ! My papers are from the "Classic K McKenna" paper pad from K and Co but the brown one is from the "Secret Garden" paper pad from Papermania. Lavender and Lemon : the Colours of Summer...

I've had so much fun making this last card : I love the colour combo for the challenge with Simon Says Stamp : lavender and lemon look great together... I only had a little problem : I didn't have any Promarker of the right colour, so I first applied Cornflower (blue) and then Orchid (mauve) and it works ! See for yourself...

First of all, Lovely People, I want to say a BIG THANK YOU for all the support, prayers and hugs you've sent to my sister... It means a lot to me... She was still in ICU yesterday but hopefully she will be transfered to the stomatology department today...

My sister is back in hospital again and it seems that this time she had a narrow escape... She is still in Intensive Care Unit but she is getting a bit better... We are taking one day at a time and keeping her in our thoughts and prayers... She is on my mind all the time and I wanted to do something for her so I made her a card I will send when she goes back home - but right now we really don't know when that will be... I have found some stamped images I had completely forgotten about... So I have decided to use them before I buy any more digi... (She says withouth laughing...). My card today is for several challenges, one of them is the challenge "Cross it" with TopTip Tuesday. They show you how to make a criss cross card, I had not made one for a very long time and I had so much fun making it... Here it is...

(My top tip : I used the bits of card cut out to make the flaps as patterns to cut out the papers I have covered them with). The papers are from the "Botanical" paper pad from Prima (aren't they lovely ? I think they qualify for the challenge "Pretty Papers" with Stamp Something). The sentiment was a freebie from Raindrop Echo Designs and as I didn't have any paper roses of the right colours I have made my usual flowers with my - worn out - flower punches from Nellie Snellen (Sorry Evelyne, I know you don't like them but I could not find anything else to decorate the front of my card with...)

It's the theme of the challenge with Paper Sundaes and it gave me the opportunity to play with one of the digis I won from The Paper Shelter... I think she is cute... The image is called "In the 2o's"... Here is the card I have made around her...

I have used papers from my stash - can't remember where they come from, sorry - a bit of crochet lace and some tickets from Tim Holtz...

How to make a little gift bag with an envelope - A tutorial for Bugaboo Stamps

Today I would like to show you how to make a little gift bag with an envelope. It's quick and easy... Take a C6 envelope, seal it, score it on three sides at 1" and fold, cut the top of the enveloppe like so...

Put your hand in the envelope and shape it like a little bag, you should have two flaps that look like bunny ears...

Stick the two flaps - that will be the base of your gift bag, then score and fold the top of the envelope to form the flap. You can then decorate your little bag and put whatever you like in it ! Here is the one I have made using a digi from Bugaboo Stamps...

I can't remember the last time I made an oriental card... I had the opportunity with Tammy's freebie at A Day for Daisies and decided to enter the challenge which is "Black, White and another Colour". Here is my card...

My papers are from the "Red Hot" paper pack from Papermania, I have stamped a japanese poem and added my usual little flowers...

Good morning ! Hope your week-end is going well ! We are doing some decorating here, wallpapering the guest room - which is small, thank God for that ! - hopefully it will be done and dusted by tomorrow... I was too tired to craft last night but here is a card I finished a few days ago... I can't remember the last time I made a card for a Baby but I could not resist this sweet image (it's another freebie) from A Day for Daisies...

I decided not to use pastel "baby colours" and went for something bright... My papers are from Papermania, the little ticket was a freebie from Jami and I had to add two little hearts, I like them so much...

Good afternoon lovely people ! I hope you are having a great week-end ! Here the weather is awful and I am still wearing one of my winter pullover !!! I would like to share with you a card I have made for a few challenges, once more I have used a digi from A Day for Daisies, it's a freebie and I just love this image... It reminds me of warm summer days at the countryside...

There is a new challenge at Catch the Bug with Bugaboo Stamps and this week we would like you to make a card - or any papercraft project - using bright colours as well as Flower Soft... Here is what I have made...

It's another little wallet ! I love making them ! I must admit that I am not too good with Flower Soft but I have found that they stick perfectly well on double sided tape, so that's what I have done on my wallet instead of using a ribbon !

A Card for a Boy...

I must admit, I don't like making cards for men or boys... I never know which embellishments to put on them... I wanted to make a Birthday card for my nephew's son, Martin, who is a teenager and I really hope he will like the one I've made... Here it is...

The papers are from Papemania, the digi is called "Schoolboy" and is from Tiddly Inks, I have just punched out some buttons with my Martha Stewart punch et voila... It's not the best card I have ever made, but, as I said, I don't like making cards for men !!!

I have just discovered a designer while blogging : her name is Tammy and her shop is called "A Day for Daisies". Her designs remind me so much of the old story books I used to read when I was little... Here is the card I have made with the digi called "Flowers for Mommy"...

Isn't she sweet ? I had so much fun colouring her... My papers are freebies I got with a craft magazine, the little ticket is from Whimsy Stamps and I have added my usual little embellishments... I know, I know, at some stage I said that I was fed up with my flowers and that I was going to stop adding them to my cards... Well I think they are back with a revenge...
